A 1.000.000 Sheep Bailout

A few hundred years ago in Turkey, a great Sultan gave his Emisars 1 million sheep to distribute among the public to bail out starving nation. His Emisars worked hard as they thought fit. When they finished, Sultan called them to report what they have done. And Nasrudin Hodja as a representative of the Emisars explained: "O Great Sultan, hear what we have accomplished. We went over the land full of faith in Allah, the One and Only. Full of respect we started our work with Allah in mind. Whom Allah gave 1.000 sheep, we too gave 1.000. Whom Allah gave 100 sheep, we too gave 100. Whom Allah gave 1 sheep, we too gave one. And whom Allah gave none, we too gave none - for how can we be smarter than Allah?" A few years later there was $700 Billion.................... |
